--- For as much as she stumbles she's running
For as much as she runs she's still here.
Always hoping to find somethin' quicker than heaven,
And make the damage of her days disappear.

Always hoping to find somethin' quicker than heaven,
And make the damage of her days disappear.

Strengths;;
Diligent. Gwen has always been one to put a lot of work and effort into everything she does. She is one of those people that firmly believes that the things you do can and will mark you for the rest of your life, regardless of what it is so you should always take pride in what you do.
Persistent. There is a line that she draws, where things become more of a need than a want. While she is okay with receiving 'no' for little and trivial things that she really doesn't need, she has a real problem with being told 'no' when it comes to her day to day life. She has been one to always push for what she wants rather than sit back and let it be taken from her.
Loyal. She is Loyal, and knows what it means to be loyal. There has never been a secret that she has been told that she has shared with another soul. Gwen sees no point in ruining her friendships, and the few that she has, with such trivial matters. While she is strong willed, she is also very kind and understanding, and will do whatever it takes to remain loyal.
Dependable. You can count on this girl for anything. Whatever you need, she is there to help. Guinevere loves to help people when it comes to their work and their play. She is one to listen to anything someone tells her and then will be right there to back you up if you need her. She has always been somewhere on time, and has never once let anyone down. She would despise herself if she did.
Organized. Organization, that is a word that is very important to Guinevere. She has a strong sense of organization and will work hard to keep it that way. She likes things neat and tidy and will usually stop at nothing to have them that way.
Patient. That is something she has always been, patient. She has a strange ability to stop everything she is doing to help someone, no matter how much work it is and no matter how much time it may take. She will help anyone, no matter how lost the cause may seem. She has always loved to work with people, and especially younger children, as she is often spending her time in the Common rooms helping the younger years with their work.
Transfiguration. Ah, no doubt her favorite subject. Not only are Professor McGonagall and Professor Jackson her favorite teachers, but the class was something she slipped into quickly and found a knack for. As much as she loved the other classes that were offered at Hogwarts, and the funny thing is; she hasn't hated a single one, Transfiguration stuck to her like glue. It runs in her family.
Astronomy. This class was a close second for Guinevere. She loves Astronomy almost as much as Transfiguration. When she decided she wanted to be a teacher, the thing she decided quickest was that she wanted to be a teacher of Astronomy or Transfiguration.
Enthusiastic. She has always had a passion for what she does, and no matter what it is, even if she hates it, Gwen knows how to bring out the fun in things. She hates to see others hating what she loves or even upset because they all dislike something. So she sees no point in moping about it, and instead will spend her time attempting to brighten up other people's days.
Weaknesses;;
Withdrawn at times. There are times though where Guinevere can be a little out of it, and though it doesn't happen too often, she does have a way of spacing out from time to time, especially if there is enough of a stall in something where she can comfortably settle into another set of thoughts.
Stubborn. She would be the first to admit it, she is stubborn. She likes to win in a petty argument, but knows when the costs have been raised too high. If she finds that things have spiraled out of control, and she sees no other option, that is the only time that Guinevere will ever give in to a small argument, but only when things have no other options.
Talks too much. She loves to talk to people, and if given the chance, she could easily talk your ear off. She has a lot of fun with people, and usually loves to spend her time meeting new people, though none of them she lets very close. She has trust issues, but once they have been broken past, she is the quickest and kindest person to meet.
Perfectionist. As much as she hates to admit it, she is a perfectionist. She loves to see things the best they can possibly be, and the problem with that is nothing is ever perfect. So she will spend hours of her time perfecting one thing, before moving onto another, and then having to work much later and much longer all in all.
Tends to give, forgets to take. When it comes to relationships, Guinevere is one to give all she has, but she never expects or tries to take anything in return. She is one that loves openly and freely and quickly ends up hurt because she is used or just abandoned. She has had the occasional relationship that has come close to working, but barely.
Fighting. When it comes to fighting, mostly in a physical sense, Gwen usually wants absolutely nothing to do with it. She hates the thing that most call conflict. That is why she is so touchy about the war that is being predicted to happen. She is hardly looking forward to people getting hurt and having the chance to lose loved ones.
Trusting. Gwen is sweet, but when it comes to trusting others, she falls short of the bar. After being used and abandoned in too many relationships, she has a lot of trouble opening herself up to things like that. She also wishes that she could talk to others and sometimes even goes as far to wish she had someone to lean on when she needs it. But she is always so scared of getting hurt that she never comes close.
Erised;;
To become a Teacher.
Patronus;;
Her Patronus shape is a Rabbit. Her happiest moment is when she is walking through the grass barefoot at her Wales home, where she can take her mind off of everything that has been going on in her life and just sink back and relax.
Boggart;;
Her biggest fear... well that could be kind of tough. To be honest, Guinevere has two fears, and they are about equally as important as the other. First of all, she fears tight places, so most closets and such are out of the question for her. She also hates water. Mostly deep water. So lakes, rivers, swimming pools. Anything that involves her getting any more than her knees wet, is not okay with her.
Dementor;;
Falling into a well when younger. When she was twelve, during her first year summer vacation, she had gone out to her Uncle's farm with her mother and brother. She had been running out along the field and had fallen into the well, being trapped there for three hours until her father and uncle found her.
Amortentia;;
Her favorite smells are grass and right after it rains. She is attracted to the smell of grass mostly because she loves to spend her time walking barefoot through the grass at her home in Wales. She spends a lot of her time outside, and is quite happy with that. She also loves the smell of tea and chocolate.
Overall Personality;; As happy-go-lucky as Gwen may seem, she actually has a lot of trouble seeing her own strengths and tends to focus a little more on the weaknesses. She has the ability to bring herself down almost as well as she can build herself up. While she can give herself a mean pep-talk, the chances of that happening tend to be lower than she would like.
Her biggest problem with life is that she wants nothing more than to avoid conflict. She has a neutral way of looking at things, but only when they do not directly concern her. For instance, most wars, she has found stupid and useless because they have killed many innocent people, and so tends to be very dead set against wars, and would sooner stand between Harry and Voldemort with a cup of tea and ask if they could try to talk out their differences before they just tried to break out a war that could kill them all and end with no survivors.
Gwen has a lot of time on her hands, and tends to spend it reading, writing music, or singing. She has a strange way to relax herself, and swears up and down that no matter how serious something got, she would always be out doing exactly this. She loves to, when she is tense or just restless, she goes out to the grounds and will walk around with no shoes, and just sing to herself, attempting to sing through every song she knows until she runs out of things to sing. And when she is upset? Well that is a little different.
Gwen has a very level way of looking at things, so when she gets upset, it usually takes a lot to do so. And when she gets upset, it isn't just angry, it is usually boiling anger, so bad that she could unleash it upon anyone. So in her trunk, she brought a small record player, and a few records that she can't live without. Whenever she gets angry, regardless of where she is, she will go straight up to her dorm and seal the door for about an hour so she can just sit in there in silence and listen to her favorite records.
But even when she has calmed down, she tends to be the one to hold the grudge. Once you get on her bad side, you have to prove yourself all over again to her, and usually it is even harder to do once she has been hurt the first time. That is the way Guinevere has always worked, and probably the way she always will.

History;; Guinevere was born during dark times in the Wizarding world. It was when no one knew whether or not they would survive to see the next day, and for the first year or so of her life, that was how her entire family lived, in fear. When she was born, she was born into a small family of three, welcoming their second child into the world, and bringing in a fourth member. The three were named Richard, Melissa, and Nicolas Thompson (II) . The newest was named after Melissa's mother, Guinevere Thompson, making Guinevere the second of her name.
The happiness that the birth of the child brought their family was only able to stay for so long, because not long after Guinevere was born, Nicolas Thompson (I) and Giselle Thompson were killed by Death Eaters. At the time, Guinevere did not understand the serious thing that was going on in their life and so does not have the same hatred for Death eaters that the older members of her family have.
Over the next two years, Guinevere was sent with her brother, Nicolas to live with their grandparents until it was decided that it would be safe for the children to live with their parents again; even though the threats were ended shortly after their grandparents had been killed. That was when Guinevere (I) and her grandmother became as close as they did. Guinevere spent all of her time with her Grandmother, watching her perform little transfigurations of objects around her house. There had been times where her grandmother had tuned her favorite teddy bear into a bird.
But needless to say, when the children were sent back, close to Guinevere's third birthday, she was confused at the sight of her parents. She had never seen them before then, and while it took a few months to get accustomed to calling someone 'mother' and 'father' and shortly after 'mom' and 'dad'; she found that she was able to adjust quickly. Her best friend had become her older brother, and it took almost an entire year for her to be able to warm up to her parents the way she warmed up to her grandparents.
After another period of time, which was only a little shorter than a year, the small family of four became a slightly larger family of five. The new child, Matthew, was named after their Grandfather, which had pleased Guinevere to no end. When she was first able to hold the baby, she quickly announced how much she liked this baby, and that her two siblings she had were more than enough for her. She was contented with the family she had, and was more than happy being that way.
Another two years went by, and two more additions were added to the family, and their names had surprised Guinevere. She had instantly assumed that seeing as all the other children were named after family members, that these two would be given the same honor.The two were named Joshua and James. When they weren't she announced her disappointment. She was quickly put in her place by her father, who scolded her about taking such matters into her own hands. That was when her love for music developed, when she became so angry with her father that she locked herself in her room and simply sang until she felt better.
It wasn't until she was nine that anything exciting happened to little Guinevere again. She had no more family members added to her family tree, but it was the day when she got a scar on her hand. She had been outside playing with her brothers. They lived on a small far at the time, and so their fences were chicken wire and barb wire. She had been out playing with them and fallen down. At the time, she had not realized that the thing she used to catch herself had been a barbed wire fence, but the pain that she had shooting up her arms was more than enough to make Guinevere realize that something was wrong. That was the day she earned her scar.
Shortly after the incident with her scar, Guinevere had been sitting in the kitchen with her brothers. The older two had begun a small conversation, about how much Nicolas was loving his time at Hogwarts. It quickly became obvious that as the two were talking, Guinevere was becoming more and more anxious about her time at Hogwarts, but was beginning to worry about how her first experience with magic wasn't happening. And as the days began to grow closer, things began to bubble up inside the little girl. She was starting to worry about how she maybe wasn't a witch and how she wasn't going to get to go to Hogwarts.
So after a few weeks of worrying, and shortly before her eleventh birthday, the girl was trying harder and harder not to panic. But as time went on, she began to just start to ignore it, realizing that waiting on it wouldn't help the moment come any faster. So instead she boxed herself up in her room and just sang every song she could think of, letting out all her frustrations and attempting to prevent herself from getting too worked up about it.
That night, the family had been seated at the dinner table, and Guinevere was pressed as to why she was getting so angry and upset lately. And naturally, she brushed it off, ignoring her family. They kept pressing though, and as the conversation heated up between them all, so did the girl's anger. As the conversation led to a short yelling match, it was all cut short as the cupboards in the kitchen all snapped forward at once, and the once heated Guinevere was staring into the kitchen, anger seeming to melt out of her face, and excitement replacing it in her eyes.
That summer, a few weeks before Guinevere Reems passed away, Guinevere and her mother traveled to visit her. That was when Guinevere was given her grandmother's wand. The wand was ten and a half inches, willow, with a demiguise's hair core. Her grandmother spent the day showing Guinevere many transfiguration spells, and promised that once she was older, that she would show them to her. It was three weeks later, only a few short days after Guinevere had been sent to Hogwarts, that the girl received news her grandmother passed away.
The first year was hard for Guinevere, feeling lost and sad without her grandmother there. It had been hard for her to read that letter and even harder to talk about it with anyone. Even now, when she thinks about it, she still tears up. Her first year at Hogwarts, though long, had finally ended, and on a good note. She had passed all of her exams with excellent marks, something that had done the trick to uplift her spirits, and greatly.
The summer before her second year had been a traumatizing one for Guinevere. It was the first time that she was going to meet Samuel Thompson, her father's brother. They were going out to his farm and intended on staying there for a week, so the children would be able to get to know their father. Well Guinevere had been left wandering in the fields, and when she was shouted for to come and eat, the girl did what she usually would have done at her farm. She ran. The only problem with running in a field that she didn't know was that it made it dangerous and more likely that she would get hurt.
She had fallen into a well, and while it had only been filled with water up to her chest, she had quickly become unnerved in the small space, and the fact that it was filled so full with water. That was directly where her phobia of small spaces and water developed. It took three hours of her standing in that water with a broken ankle for her father and uncle to finally find her and pull her from the well. She has never gone anywhere near deep sources of water and many small spaces.
The second year had been a traumatic one for Guinevere. The year that students were being paralyzed left and right had been more than enough to spook the girl. While she was never sure what the cause was and while she never personally knew anyone that was put in the hospital wing for it, she spent a lot of her time up in the hospital wing, well her spare time. She stayed up there with those that got hurt because she felt bad for them, and hoped they weren't in too much pain. She also never made the attempt to meet the people that had harmed, she was more than happy to leave them to their lives because they probably didn't need her there anyway.
The third year had also been uneventful, her time spent on exams being the only real stress the girl had during her time. She was careful with the friends she made, or more so didn't make, because it really wasn't until her fifth year in school that she had any sort of friends. The fourth year had been a very interesting one for her. She learned quickly about the Tri-Wizard Tournaments and watched and cheered for her fellow school-mates as they worked through their challenges. She had been one of the students who had been very distraught over Cedric Diggory's death. She had never personally known him, but the thought that someone could actually die on Hogwarts ground shook her too the core.
Fifth year had been a peculiar one, she had not been particularly fond of Ms. Dolores Umbridge and so whenever she got the chance to disobey the authority figure, she did so happily. She had considered joining Dumbledore's Army when she had been offered the opportunity, but quickly realized that the work that was being done inside of it was much too directed to a side for her liking. She preferred it to be neutral. Safe and neutral where she wouldn't be questioned about the things she did or the battles she fought. Her fifth year had been the year when she had finally decided she needed to open up and start meeting people. As hard as it had been, she spent the majority of her time working to strengthen the friendships she made, and is still trying to find more as she goes.Despite having to work through many hard ships, Guinevere passed all of her OWLS with very high ranks. In Charms, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Potions, and Herbology, Guinevere received Outstandings. In Defense against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures, she received Exceeds Expectations.
In many way, sixth year was the hardest for Guinevere. There was the fact that on her seventeenth birthday, she received a hand bound book of spells that her Grandmother had promised to teach her from her mother. It had come close to being the happiest part of her life, when she received that book full of spells. She had taken it to Professor McGonagall seeing as most of them pertained to Transfiguration. She quickly fell in love with the class even more than she all ready loved it. But the hardest part about the year by far? It had to have been when she found out Albus Dumbledore died. She cried for a week straight, knowing that the man who had been sitting at the table every year for the last six years, would no longer be there. He had been the one to grace everyone here with the chance to attend this school and now he was gone.
The beginning of her summer was spent with her father, who furthered her training in Defense Against the Dark Arts, because he knew he could not afford to keep all the children home and keep them safe from the terrors that could have been waiting at the school. This was when she had learned that her Patronus was a rabbit. It had been her first experience giving any of the spells, but she was a quick learner, and her father a good teacher. Now I leave you at the part where the rest of her story unfolds. [/size]
