Gentle she has a lot of patience and enjoys working with the students, in her job it is important that she is gentle as she will deal with a bunch of different things from students being ill to getting serious injuries that may require them to stay overnight. Having a child helps to enhance this quality.
Understanding one of the great things about Amelia is that the students within the school are comfortable coming to talk to her about things because she is understanding and she takes the time to listen to them and think about what their saying and what the appropriate advice to give them would be.
Motherly this is a lot to do with her being a mother over all, but working in the hospital ward of the castle she takes on that personality when the students are sick or injured, she knows how important it is to have your mother around when something is wrong so she tries to be that warm presence as she cares for them and gets them back to their full health.
Protective when it comes to people she cares about do not cross her, she is very protective and will do anything if it means keeping those she loves safe.
Stubborn don’t argue with her, especially not if you are in the hospital wing. If she decides to do something that is what she is doing no matter what you or anyone else have to say about it.
Slight temper when she is pressured enough she can have a bit of a temper and sometimes it does cloud her judgement but everyone tends to have that problem.

Amelia was born to Amberlee and Jackson Dupont, her Mother Amberlee died when Amelia was ten from illness and her Father worked as an Auror in the ministry. When she was young and her Mother was alive they were a happy family, weekends they would spend a vast majority of time together and have fun bonding and just being together, but after her Mother died Jackson hired a nanny for his daughter and spent most of his time working unable to look his daughter in the face due to the resemblance she had to her Mother. It was around the time her Mother was born that she first showed signs of magic, at her Mother’s funeral she had gotten so upset with everyone constantly saying sorry she had made a vase of flowers fly across the room nearly hitting her Mother’s younger sister.
When she was eleven she got her letter from the school explaining her acceptance. She attended and was sorted into Hufflepuff, she made lots of friends and her entire school experience had been over all enjoyable. She’d been a chaser on the quidditch team, and was made Head Girl. She was a known leader, but also a good friend. She graduated from Hogwarts and went on to study medicine and healing, when she turned twenty-three she returned to Hogwarts as the new nurse after Madame Pomfrey passed away. She had been dating Alexander for over a year and they certainly had their problems, he was not committed to her and slept around a lot, but when she became pregnant he took off telling her she was a waste of time and only good for a lay that she had meant nothing to him and she could enjoy the rest of her life raising her bastard child.
When Jennifer was born, Amelia hadn’t felt such love for anyone in her life before. Her daughter had been the best thing to happen to her, and after talking to the Headmaster she convinced him to allow her to have her child with her while she worked at the school. Now she has been working there for a few years and her daughter is now a year old, she loves Hogwarts, though not how things are in the world, but for the safety of herself and her child she keeps her nose out of it and just remains to be there to support the students.
