DYLAN|ANN|MAZANI
You'd think I'd learned the cost of love. Paid that price long enough.
But still I drive myself right through the pain.
Well it turns out, I haven't learned a thing.
But still I drive myself right through the pain.
Well it turns out, I haven't learned a thing.

Curiosity is not a sin…
But we should exercise caution with our curiosity..
Yes, indeed.

Overall Personality;; Dylan knows how to laugh and have a good time when it is appropriate, but she can hold her own in a fight when it comes. She has a strong sense of right and wrong but never seems to act on it. She has been known to ignore it almost entirely if the mood strikes her right. Dylan is a passionate lover and tends to fall in love very easily. The fact that she hardly ever acts on it though, is a very different part of her personality.
Dylan is intelligent, very much so. She learns quickly and reads a lot of the time. Even though she is smart, she tends to forget to show it and acts a little dumber and usually pushes off her intelligence. She has a very strong work ethic as well, but usually she spends her time locked away in her dorm where she can keep herself away from everyone. She has a lot of trouble with opening up her emotions and usually has to argue with herself and whomever is trying to get her emotions to show until she is proved wrong. While she hates it, it is usually the only way she will admit anything.
But her biggest flaw is that she doesn't know her own worth. She sticks herself at the bottom of the totem pole. She has a very strong view of herself, and it happens to tear apart everything everyone else knows about her. When it comes to her love life, Dylan has no problem seeing the love, but once it is there in front of her, she usually feels like her only option now is to run. She would rather run away from all her problems then stand up and fight them. Anyone who knows her also knows that.--- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
Happiness can be found
Even in the darkest of times
If one only remembers to turn on the light

History;; Born in what is considered the Southern US, Dylan was raised with a respect toward men just as they were raised with a respect of women. She had become friends with the son of her mother's boss at the age of six. They used to run and chase each other around his dad's land. Back then that consisted of down by the river, through the large construction shop, and down the long gravel driveway. She had grown up around animals, having kittens when she was older then getting dogs and having a variety of other animals mixed in as well. She loved them all.
By the time school started, Dylan was hardly popular. She had very few friends but had a lot of things to talk about and stories to tell. Though usually when she told her stories, everyone else ignored what she said and went on their own happy way. She had two younger siblings, making her the oldest child. She was always the one to receive the attention from her father. She was a daddy's girl, and would have admitted it openly to everyone. That was why when it came around the time that every witch and wizard started showing magic, it was a frightening experience.
Dylan had gone to the store with her mother and had a fit about wanting to get some item, that now slipped from everyone's mind. She had whined the whole way home and continued to do so until her father got home. When he did, Dylan exploded, her feelings all rushing out at once and magic tainting them all, the anger for not getting what she wanted caused all the cupboards in the kitchen to slam open and glasses and plates to fly. But that little temper tantrum ended in the fear of everything being chaos. That was the one time that Dylan ever gave in on a fight, because she was too scared about what was going on to care.
A year before this happened, her family had moved to England because her father was taking up a job as a journalist for the Muggle papers. That is why she qualifies for Hogwarts. The first four years at Hogwarts were the best experience of her life and she was simple ecstatic about everything that was happening in her life. During Dylan's fourth year at Hogwarts, her parents split up and ended up getting a divorce. The result ended being that Dylan's father moved back to the states, New York to be exact. He lives there now as a journalist. Dylan deals with her mother's anger now that her father is gone, and has grown to despise her father.
Because the fighting with her mother is so extreme, Dylan has been known to leave Hogwarts with excused absences from her mother periodically throughout the year, though her brother and sister remain.

Roleplay Sample;;Reckless. She felt reckless. She felt crazy, insane, stupid, and reckless. And the best part of it all? She didn't care. For once in her life, Dylan Mazani didn't care. She needed to get out, to have a little fun, and if she had to do it alone then that was fine by her. She was sick of the school, sick of her dorm, sick of rejection, and sick of pretending. Dylan was a strange woman, full of potential and high hopes and yet she was willing to throw it all away or to box it all up because someone told her to. But tonight was different. Tonight, Dylan had taken off from the Academy, disappearing past the gates with her power as a reason to keep her from being taken or stopped. She had never been out in the city on her own, and being from London, the differences were great. She had been attracted like a moth to this club. The lights and the sounds were enough to bring in the girl, but also enough to make her much more cautious. She had a fake ID, hell, what kid didn't these days?
The girl wasted not time, flashed her ID and was let through. She didn't break a sweat, didn't show any sort of nerves. Her stomach didn't even tie in a not. Nothing felt out of place here or within her. Dylan was being reckless and there was nothing that could be done to stop it. Had James have been there or Winter the man in her life... maybe she wouldn't have been out here. Maybe. But right now it didn't matter. The lights of the club weren't blinding, hell the only real light here were the flashing ones and the ones that would have killed an epileptic. She didn't mind being a part of this scene, so long as she didn't make it a ritual. It was one of those things you had to experience at least once in your life, and seeing as her life could have been ended at any moment... well Dylan didn't feel like putting things off anymore. She probably would have found the regrets tomorrow or a week from now, but tonight there would be no regrets, no troubles.
The girl rose her eyes up to the lights above her, her bright brown eyes twinkling under the bright lights and it wasn't long before she found herself approached by a shady bloke, one she probably would never have thought of talking to or having talked to her had he not have been wasted. But she didn't send him off, and instead did the exact opposite, but not without taking a precaution first. Her mind wandered and she pictured a mold of herself and then expanded it by a few inches. It was a thick barrier, one that couldn't have been broken unless she wanted it to be broken, and one that she wouldn't use lightly. The one thing the girl was happy about was that, like most humans, they didn't notice the wings of an angel. So her large black wings behind her where more like a distant shadow than any real threat.
The man before her though quickly lost her interest, having nothing more to say or suggest than attempting to coax her out of the club, so wasted himself that he could hardly notice that the girl before him was not one that was wasted or any where near willing to leave the club yet. And her age... well her age seemed to give him no worries or threats because he seemed to figure he was dealing with some girl who wanted nothing more than a man to take her and take her then and there. Dylan on the other hand, intended on being here for awhile, and while she wasn't looking for a man to sweep her off her feet, she was indeed interested in filling the void that she felt in her chest. Matthew Winter had sent her away in attempts to protect himself, and James Morin seemed to have other things on his mind, a friendship really. Therefore, what she wanted wouldn't have mattered. Never did. Dylan Mazani, hybrid, unwanted, rejected, and alone. What a pretty little victim she made, didn't she? [/size]
