The morning had been a long one. Nixon had started it out with breakfast after he had rolled out of bed and through some clothes on. His hair was a bit messy but it was short and easy to maintain. He threw his leather jacket on over top a white t-shirt and made his way to the Great Hall to get some food. After eating he had a class with some first years. Annoying little things but he dealt with it. His older classes were more fun because it was more complex flying and maneuvers. He loved those classes with the older students. He really did love to teach. He loved his students. Sometimes he was even seen flirting with the older sixth and seventh year girls. It was in his nature to flirt.
After a long day Nixon grabbed his broom and his guitar and made his way back down to the quidditch pitch. Once there he stood in the middle of the pitch and closed his eyes inhaling the scent of the grass and the dirt. He loved this place. Jumping on his broom his flew around for about two hours just enjoying it all. He felt free when he was on a broom.
Landing on the ground again he walked over to one of the towers and laid his broom down. He sat down in the grass and leaned on the tower looking up at the sky. Scratching his cheek he reached over and grabbed his guitar and started to play a song he had been working on just enjoying being outside.

God, it had been a long day and the day wasn't even over yet. It was weird, yet kind of nice being in this place again, especially now that she didn't have to go to class. After Kayleigh had finished what she had came here to do she had even gotten to visit with her sister, which was great considering she hadn't gotten to see her much this year. It had been weird since she had moved out. Things were more complicated than ever with her father, and sadly her sister was kind of caught in the middle. But that was something she didn't want to think about right now.
After she spent a little time with her sister she thought she might visit somewhere she had spent a lot of time as a student, so she grabbed her broom and headed down to the quidditch pitch. It had been too long since she had gotten to fly around the pitch, and truthfully she really missed it. It was one of the things she had really enjoyed when she was a student here. Somehow getting on that broom and flying around made her feel free, like there wasn't a care in the world. It was nice.
As she entered the pitch she took it all in. The smell, the crisp air, the green grass. It was exactly how she remembered it, which brought a smile to her face. She walked to the center of the pitch, her eyes scanning the area, taking in the familiar feel. She was just about to climb onto her broom when she noticed someone across the field near one of the towers. She hesitated for a moment, a little unsure of what she wanted to do. She had never been one to just walk up to a stranger and start talking to them, but at the same time she didn't want to just take off like she hadn't noticed anything at all. She stared across at him trying to decide if she recognized him, but she really wasn't close enough to get a good look at him.
