Likes;; Magic, family, quidditch, animals, her mum’s cooking, the Burrow, Harry Potter, friends, Dumbledore’s Army, pygmy puffs, holidays, charms, Christmas, cookies, duels
Dislikes;; You-Know-Who, blood discrimination, Death Eaters, mostly all Slytherins, rain, colder weather, history of magic, reading, examinations, essays, losing in anything, being underestimated because of her gender
Strengths;; Ginny is fiercely competitive. She hates to lose at anything, and her competitive drive is what creates most of her successes in life. She is also an excellent flyer. Give her a broomstick and she can do wonderful things with it. Lastly, Ginny is out-spoken and confident. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind or tell you her opinion. She’ll make you listen to what she wants to say.
Weaknesses;; Ginny can be a bit hot-headed. She will lose her temper easily and be quite loud and angry until things get settled. She also cares for her family and her brothers a great deal. They are her largest weakness. If something endangered them, she would quickly trade in her life for theirs. Lastly, Ginny is stubborn. It is either her way or no way at all. Little to nothing will persuade her from an opinion she feels greatly about.
Erised;; Ginny’s greatest desire is to see her family all healthy and alive after the defeat of Voldemort, including Harry. She loves Harry with all of her heart, and she wishes to see him happy and alive after being successful in his defeat of Voldemort.
Patronus;; Ginny’s favorite memory involves the first Christmas that Harry spent at the Burrow with her family. She adores Christmas, but that year was even better because she got to witness Harry’s first Christmas in a family that cared for him.
Boggart;; Ginny’s biggest fear is losing any member of her family. They are incredibly close, and a death in her family would be devastating for all of them, including Ginny as the youngest child.
Dementor;; Ginny’s worst memory involves her first year at Hogwarts and being possessed by Tom Riddle’s diary. Since then, she despises Voldemort on a level that is deeper than most others. This possession was incredibly torturous and scary for her, and she still gets chills thinking about being possessed by such evil, dark magic.
Amortentia;; The Burrow, homemade cookies, pine tree, and the earthy smell of the woods
Overall Personality;; Ginevra Weasley has spent her entire life in the shadow of six brothers. Her flaming red hair quickly distinguishes her as a Weasley, something that she carries with great pride. In general, Ginny is outgoing, determined, competitive, stubborn, and opinionated. Due to her upbringing, Ginny is a bit of a tomboy. She has always played with the boys – her older brothers. When asked, Ginny responds that her strength and character all stem from being a Weasley and growing up with a clan of older brothers. Although she can hang with the boys easily, Ginny does have a rather large soft side, too.
Although most people do know Ginny simply because her appearance screams that she is a part of the Weasley clan, Ginny is also an independent person and sets herself apart on her own. She’s very outgoing and sociable. Throughout her years at Hogwarts, Ginny had several boyfriends and a rather large group of friends. She doesn’t have any problems meeting new people or making friends. Ginny is very much so a social butterfly. However, her outgoing nature isn’t always related to having friends. Ginny is also incredibly opinionated and stubborn. She isn’t afraid to loudly voice her opinions, especially if someone opposes her views. She stands up for what she believes in and she isn’t afraid to fight for her opinions of what is right. Because of this, Ginny tends to have quite a handful of enemies and rivals.
Ginny is also incredibly competitive and determined. Growing up in constant competition with her six older brothers, Ginny has learned how to be a spitfire. She loves healthy competition. Unfortunately, she does hate to lose. She never takes any kind of loss well. She tends to throw a bit of a hissy fit when she loses at something, especially quidditch. Her determination stretches across all areas of her life. She puts her heart and soul into things that she believes in. She would stop at nothing to see her friends and her family happy. When she sets her mind to achieving something, she does not rest until she reaches that ultimate goal.
One of Ginny’s largest downfalls in her characteristic Weasley temper. She is easily set off, typically when she is upset or has something larger on her mind. Ginny especially gets feisty when people that she loves are involved. If she sees someone messing with one of her loved ones, she quickly responds with anger. She also isn’t afraid to whip out her wand throw a few hexes out in the open. This temper ties in with her stubborn nature. Ginny easily holds grudges against someone that has hurt her or her family and friends.
Ginny is also a very talented witch. She is brilliant with magic and she tends to easily pick up on new spells, hexes, and curses. This makes her excellent with duels. People tend to underestimate her because of her gender. This is her biggest pet peeve of all. She hates being discriminated against because of her sex – in general magical talent and quidditch alike. Ginny loves to prove others wrong in this way and show her true worth.
Lastly, Ginny has a big heart. She loathes seeing innocent people suffering. Any suffering at all hurts her deeply. She tends to be slightly guarded with her heart until someone proves they are worth her trust. Harry Potter is one such instance. She had always had a soft spot for the-boy-who-lived. With Harry, she had actually opened her heart completely, which is something she hadn’t done with any of her previous, frivolous boyfriends. She is a hearty and loyal lover, and when she does love, she loves with her entire heart.

History;; Ginevra Molly Weasley was born into a large family of six older brothers. Ginny was the first girl born into the Weasley family in many generations, and her parents were absolutely thrilled to have been blessed with a little girl. Ginny quickly fit into the family. Her brothers tended to refuse to allow her to play with them, and it wasn’t long before Ginny was able to stand up for herself and take charge. She never let her brothers push her around, and she did her best to always keep up with them and play along, even when she was young.
From a young age, Ginny knew she was a witch. She had seen her brothers go off to Hogwarts and she could not wait until the day when she would have her first sign of magic and she was able to head off to Hogwarts herself. Ginny’s first sign of magic appeared when she was six years old. She had gone out into the yard to ask her brothers if she could join in on their game. They’d promptly told her that she could not because she was just a baby still. In a fit of rage, Ginny began yelling at her brothers and mysteriously the quaffle that they had been playing with soared through the air and smacked George right in the face, seeing as he had been the main proponent in telling her that she could not play with them. They had all stopped what they had been doing then to congratulate her on her first sign of magic. She’d been overjoyed, and since that day whenever she got particularly angry or excited, magical things happened around her. If there was one thing she looked forward to, it was attending Hogwarts.
Ginny’s childhood was wonderful. Although her parents didn’t have much in terms of money, they made sure their children were well looked after. With seven children, Ginny was always kept entertained. Mrs. Weasley also made sure her children were incredibly well-fed and clothed as best as they could be. Since she was a girl, Ginny had the best clothes seeing as hers hadn’t been handed by six brothers. Even though they were still second-hand, Ginny felt she was blessed and lucky in her childhood.
One of the more pivotal moments of Ginny’s life was the first time she met Harry Potter. She had spent her entire life watching her older brothers head off to Hogwarts. She was familiar with the process and she found herself enthralled by the Hogwarts Express. She would then dream for days about going off the train herself. She was particularly angry the day that Ron was to head off to Hogwarts, leaving her as the only child left at home. However, on that day she met Harry Potter. All she can recall from the event was that she found him incredibly handsome, and she knew she had made a fool of herself. All in all though, it was monumental for her. From that day on, she had a major crush on Harry and she could not wait to go off to Hogwarts where she would be able to spend more time around him, considering she couldn’t even mumble out a hello when she saw him. Instead, she would usually run and hide from embarrassment.
A year later Ginny was off to Hogwarts like her brothers. It was no surprise when Ginny was sorted into Gryffindor like the rest of the Weasley family. She was proud and excited all at the same time. She quickly found a group of friends and fit into the Hogwarts atmosphere. She couldn’t have been more happy about finally learning how to harness her magic. Among her school things, Ginny found Tom Riddle’s diary which had been placed there by Lucius Malfoy during their outing at Diagon Alley. To her surprise, the diary began to write back to her. Of course, she had no idea that it was Tom Riddle, or Voldemort, writing back to her. The diary worked its way into Ginny’s life and she became incredibly vulnerable to Tom Riddle. Eventually, he was able to take full possession of Ginny. Under the possession, Ginny opened the Chamber of Secrets and petrified Mr. Filch’s cat. Following the first attack, under possession Ginny also petrified Colin Creevey and Justin Finch-Fletchey. Ginny was personally upset over the attacks that were happening at Hogwarts. She found that she would awake without having any recollection of where she had been or what she had done. Therefore, she began to grow weary that she was the one causing the attacks. She also began to doubt the diary, even trying to flush it down a toilet. The diary came back into her possession when she sent Harry a Valentine and his bag dropped onto the ground. She stole the diary back from him and under its influence, she petrified Penelope Clearwater and Hermione Granger. She wanted to tell Ron and Harry, but before she was given a chance Tom Riddle possessed her and wrote a note, knowing Harry would come to save her before taking her into the Chamber of Secrets to die. In quite an epic battle, Harry came down into the Chamber of Secrets and fought the basilisk, ultimately destroying the diary and saving Ginny from death. Harry understood that Tom Riddle had possessed Ginny, and that Tom Riddle was Voldemort. Although somewhat shaken, Ginny recovered and was even more in love with Harry seeing that he had saved her from a near-death experience.
Ginny’s second year was rather uneventful. She continued to have a crush on Harry that never really developed into anything. Ginny continued to be incredibly nervous and embarrassed in his presence. She was not part of Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s treks throughout this year, and she stayed relatively quiet with her friends and focusing on her studies.
Ginny’s third year dealt with the Triwizard Tournament. Throughout the year, Ginny grew much closer with Hermione, who grew to become her best friend. She also grew close with Neville Longbottom, another friendship that Ginny holds close to her heart. Ginny was displeased throughout her third year because of Harry’s quite public display of affection for Cho Chang, although she did not return his sentiments.
With the start of Ginny’s fourth year, her family was relocated to the Order of the Phoenix’s headquarters considering that both of her parents were avid members. Voldemort had returned, and Ginny thoroughly wanted to be a part of the Order, despite her young age. This year, Ginny began dating Michael Corner. During her fourth year, Ginny also became part of Dumbledore’s Army, where she further expanded her magical talent and grew into a brilliant young witch. Ginny also met Luna Lovegood and became friends with her throughout her fourth year at Hogwarts. Ginny also tried out for quidditch in her fourth year. She became the new seeker after Harry’s ban, although she admitted she wasn’t nearly as good as Harry and was better at chaser. During her fourth year, Ginny’s father was attacked by Nagini – Voldemort’s snake. Luckily, her father had a full recovery.
Ginny displayed her quidditch skills throughout her fourth year when she led the Gryffindor team to several victories. Her and Harry actually began quite a budding friendship throughout the year as well, even though her feelings for him would always remain more than simply friendly. At the end of her fourth year, she accompanied Harry to the Department of Mysteries where a trap had been laid. She fought hard against the Death Eaters, displaying her magical skills that had been learned in Dumbledore’s Army. Her ankle was broken during the incident, but Ginny recovered quickly. Ginny also dumped Michael Corner and began dating Dean Thomas, much to Ron’s horror.
During her fifth year, Ginny returned to the quidditch team with Harry as captain. She became a chaser, and did incredibly well. Her and Dean also split up throughout this year. Due to Harry and Ginny both, Gryffindor won the Quidditch cup that year and during the celebrations, the two of them spontaneously kissed, much to Ginny’s delight. Ginny and Harry then began dating from then on. As the year progressed, however, Dumbledore was killed, leaving the entire school in mourning. Harry then broke up with her because he was afraid that Voldemort would target Ginny if they remained together. Although she was upset, she did understand and she believed that once this was all over, her and Harry would be together again.
Before her sixth year began, Ginny helped in moving Harry to the Burrow. She also participated in her brother Bill and Fleur’s wedding. She and Harry also shared a kiss before he left, knowing that was all she could give him. After Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s disappearance, Ginny went off to Hogwarts where she, Neville, and Luna kept Dumbledore’s Army up and going for all those students who were interested. Although they received several detentions, Ginny was determined this was the only way she could help Harry.
At the end of her sixth year, the Battle of Hogwarts began. She fought alongside Harry and the Order. They suffered a good deal of losses, including her brother Fred. They were unsuccessful. The Order was moved to a safe house, leaving many people to wonder where Harry was even alive. The Wizarding World speculates that Harry is dead. Ginny, however, is part of the select few that are aware of Harry being alive.
Ginny and the Order are now planning on ways in which to ultimately defeat Voldemort. She did not finish her schooling at Hogwarts, never going back to attend her seventh year. However, she is now a part of the Order, and her main goals are to help Harry defeat Voldemort and see the Wizarding World go back to peace.
